The weekly Kesgrave Help Centre held to support retired and disabled people in the town has celebrated its 30th anniversary.
The centre, run by Sue Snoulten, Jane Robinson and Sue West provide advice and support for problems disabled and retired people may be having, help make positive changes to their lives and hold weekly coffee and activity mornings to help keep people active and social.
This month, the centre marked its 30th anniversary with a special celebration morning with volunteers and members of the community coming together.
A spokeswoman from Kesgrave Community Centre in Twelve Acre Approach where the sessions were held, described the volunteers as “amazing ladies” and praised the work they had been doing for “so many years with little support”.
The centre is now seeking a volunteer driver to take people to and from the centre’s Thursday sessions.
