Kesgrave Library was buzzing with activity on Sunday morning as the Summer Reading Challenge was launched with a special Minion Morning.
Youngsters got the chance to meet one of the lovable characters, before taking part in a themed treasure hunt, Minion crafts and a raffle.
The Summer Reading Challenge is a national scheme where youngsters are encouraged to read six books or more over the holidays, with those completing the challenge receiving a medal and certificate at a ceremony event.
This year’s theme is on ‘animal agents’.
Maggie Lusher, library manager said: “We are hoping that this year’s Summer Reading Challenge will be as successful as last year’s, or even better, with everyone enjoying a great summer of reading and our free craft activities, all related to the theme of animals who are secret agents.”
