A 16-year-old student at Kesgrave High School is in the running to become Miss Teen Great Britain.
Emma Collingridge, who has already been crowned Miss Teen South Suffolk will be going to Blackpool on August 30-31 to take part.
Speaking of what made her sign up, Emma said: “I wanted to get more involved in modelling, build my confidence and do things I wouldn’t normally be doing.”
So far, she has made public appearances, ran in 5k events, and raised money for the pageant’s chosen charity, Claire House Children’s Hospice, and taken on extra fundraising for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. The pageant is aimed to be a positive experience for teenagers.
Emma said: “It would be incredible to win. I would love to keep doing charity work. It’s been good fun.”
