A large boat on the back of a lorry caused delays on the A14 Suffolk yesterday as it struggled to squeeze under a bridge.
There were reports of traffic problems on the eastbound carriageway near the Wherstead turn-off at around 6.30pm.
Police were assisting the transportation of a 5m x 25m x 6m cruising boat, weighing nearly 60 tons from Fairline Boats, Oundle in Northamptonshire towards Ipswich Haven Marina, in Key Street, Ipswich.
