Newlyweds Sarah and Mike Richards have taken some unusual selfies with the Pigs Gone Wild – using a pair of Lego minifigures that topped their wedding cake.

The couple, who married in March, came up with the idea after spotting people taking selfies while they were on their honeymoon in London and Paris.

“We wanted to find a different way to show our honeymoon so have photos of the Lego figures with the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre,” said Sarah. “We just wanted to do something a bit different.

“I’m also a bit camera shy.”

So when the couple travelled down from their home in Norwich to see the porcine sculptures they decided their Lego friends should again be the stars of their snaps.

Sarah said her favourite piggy was Ipswich Blue on the Waterfront. “It reminds me of fond memories of my nanny,” she said.

“The Lego figures were our wedding toppers on our pork pie and cheese wedding cake.

“I love the trails. We have gone to all of them – the big hoot, the gorillas. When I saw the Ed Sheeran one we had to come down.”

Tomorrow the Star is holding a sticker swap meet at the Co-op’s Fore Street Education Centre in Ipswich, from 11am-1pm, to help those collecting to complete their sets. And while the trail may be ending this weekend, we will continue to publish vouchers for free stickers every day to allow you to fill your album.
