BEER was flowing as usual at the Tolly Cobbold Brewery today, despite it being struck by lightning on Sunday.
Power supplies to computers and telephone lines were down for two days after the lightning strike at the Cliff Road brewery on Sunday.
Tolly Cobbold Managing Director Bob Wales said that they were still able to get power from plug sockets and that brewing was left unaffected.
He said: "We were struck a few years ago and with it being such a high building, it is not surprising."
He added that the only inconvenience was the fact that the customers could not be contacted via telephone.
The effects of the lightning strike were discovered on Monday, although it is not known which part of the building was struck.
Full power at the brewery was due to be restored later today.
