HOMEOWNERS across Ipswich are shrugging off rising energy prices with a brilliant display of Christmas lights.

HOMEOWNERS across Ipswich are shrugging off rising energy prices with a brilliant display of Christmas lights.

Houses are being decked with an array of colourful decorations as the festive season approaches.

The Evening Star has captured the efforts of two families in Ipswich and we are calling on you to send in photographs of your own lights.

Fiore Masullo said he and his wife, Val, 62, cover their house in Felixstowe Road every year to get them in the Christmas spirit.

He said: “I enjoy it and other people enjoy it. I love Christmas because it only comes once a year.”

Mr Masullo has developed a mystery illness this year which has made him very tired, but he was determined to continue the tradition and asked his son, Jonny Masullo, to put up the lights for him.

The 71-year-old has also considered making a collection for charity when people visit the house.

The lights are also shining bright in Wherstead Road where Zoe Daniels' home stands out.

If you have pictures of your Christmas lights, please send them and your full contact details to www.suffolkpicturedesk@archant.co.uk
