FELIXSTOWE-based Stage Door Theatre Company are to bringing back their sell out show When the Lights Go On Again, it has been announced today.

The popular show runs from August 27 to 30 at the Spa Pavilion theatre.

Co-director Nigel Lungley said: “This show set in Felixstowe follows the Parker family through the ups and downs of World War 2. The show has plenty of laughs and features lots of situations from the era, queuing, rationing, The American GI's, Saturday Night Dance, Sergeant Major, Camp Concert, The Saturday Night Dance - the list is endless.

Songs due to be performed include the title song When The Lights Go On Again, White Cliffs of Dover, Yours, Rule Britannia, There'll Always Be An England and other well known songs of the era.

Mr Lungley added: “The audience can join in and sing along. The whole show ends with a VE day party to which everyone is invited having relived those war years. This is a hugely popular show and last time all four performances were sold out before opening night.

The show coincides with the 70th Anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War.
