THE detective who led the investigation into the Red Light Murders today said police would explore links between Steve Wright and unsolved cases.
Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull said: “There has been early speculation about the involvement of Steve Wright in other offences.
“We will not speculate but I'm not aware of any evidence that links Steve Wright to any other crimes but we will continue to work with colleagues from other forces as is required.”
Dt Chf Supt Gull said information on Wright would also be shared with other police forces nationwide as was customary in high profile cases such as this.
He added police could not rule out the involvement of a second person in relation to the murders.
But he said: “There's no other evidence to suggest any other individual was involved other than Steve Wright.”
