Police and council officials are attending a public meeting in Ipswich tonight after a teenager was killed in the town on Saturday.
Suffolk’s police and crime commissioner Tim Passmore, who said he was “deeply saddened” to hear of the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy over the weekend, is going along to the meeting in Nansen Road tonight.
Tavis Spencer-Aitkens, of Pownall Road, died of his injuries after he was attacked in broad daylight while he walked home from shops in Queen’s Way.
Detectives launched a murder inquiry following his death, and have since arrested five people in connection with the incident.
They are currently being questioned over the attack, which happened in Packard Avenue.
