A HASKETON country pub has literally moved lock stock and barrel to Woodbridge.

The previous landlord of the Turks Head Inn in Hasketon has moved to the Seckford Arms in Woodbridge and he has taken everything with him from the staff to the pictures.

Huw Thomas, the new landlord, has moved out of his old tranquil country pub, on Low Road, Hasketon, and has bought the town pub, but is hoping to keep everything the same.

Mr Thomas, who is known to friends as Tom, said: "It is a country pub in a town if you like. We've moved it lock stock and barrel. We will have the same staff, the same menus and we are even taking some of the pictures."

He said: "All our customers at the Turks Head drive from Woodbridge anyway, so now instead they will walk and hopefully we will move in with a ready-made clientele".

Mr Thomas, 43, who is originally from South Wales said he is hoping that the pub on Seckford Street will have the same traditional atmosphere created in the Hasketon pub.

He said the only major change would probably be that the Seckford Arms will be busier but without the usual pub gimmicks like snooker or pool tables, fruit machines or juke boxes.

He said: "Unlike previously, the pub will be a juke box free zone. We don't believe in anything like that."
