Development at Futura Park in Ipswich is set to include a self-storage firm, after Lok’nStore has submitted a planning application.
Plans were lodged by the firm on December 5 to create the storage facility next to the existing John Lewis and Waitrose at the back of the Futura Park development.
The proposals are currently in the consultation phase, and will go to planners for a decision at the end of January or early February.
Units for car dealerships Audi and Jaguar Land Rover have already been developed on the latest strip of land at the site.
Development in expanding Futura Park has been ongoing with a number of big retailers having been established at the former Cranes site in the last few years, including John Lewis, Waitrose, DFS and Oak Furniture Village.
Work is also happening opposite the park in The Sandlings for a drive-through Costa to be built near the existing Pizza Hut.
