TRAINS to London are still being delayed by up to 30 minutes today due to a fault on the railway track.

Network Rail called for emergency engineering work to be carried out after a problem was found during a routine inspection in the Norwich area at about 9.30am today. A speed limit of 5mph has been put in place.

National Express East Anglia said it is running a reduced mainline service between Norwich and London Liverpool Street as a result of the work.

At the moment, services are running on the hour from Norwich to London Liverpool Street and at 30 minutes past the hour from London Liverpool Street to Norwich.

Normal service is expected to be resumed by 5.30pm.
