FIRE crews were called to the A12 after a lorry caught fire on the busy Suffolk road.The engine compartment blaze happened at 8pm yesterday at Copdock in the Woodbridge direction.

The engine compartment blaze happened at 8pm yesterday at Copdock.
By the time crews arrived the driver had already put out the fire with his own extinguisher.
Elsewhere firefighters were sent to Ashcroft Road in Ipswich, yesterday, after a hedge caught light.
The fire broke out around 2.35pm today and was out by 2.55pm.
A spokesman for the fire service described the fire as “accidental”.
