POLICE have today cordoned off part of Lowestoft's South Beach following reports by a 20-year-old woman that she was raped.The incident is alleged to have taken place either late last night or early today and as a precaution officers have taped off around 100 yards of the beach close to Tides Reach.

Initial inquiries are being made and at this stage the victim has not given a full account of what happened.
