Lowestoft escapes the snow

THE north of Suffolk escaped virtually unscathed from the snow.Although Halesworth and Beccles had a covering which caused some problems Lowestoft had virtually nothing to report.

Although Halesworth and Beccles had a covering which caused some problems Lowestoft had virtually nothing to report.

From Blythburgh going northwards there were no reports of any snow and the only casualty of the weather was one of the schools in the town, The Ashley School, having to close.
