A TESCO lorry driver had a lucky escape after his vehicle left the M25 and went down a 40-foot embankment on the clockwise carriageway at South Ockendon, near the Dartford Crossing.
The 46-year-old driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries after the accident shortly before midnight, but was released on Sunday morning.
One lane of the busy motorway was closed on Sunday while staff from the Highways Agency repair the safety barriers.
