Three trains have been cancelled and several others delayed by up to 60 minutes due to a broken down train at Needham Market.
The 6.42am from Cambridge to Ipswich service broke down at Needham Market – and a rescue train and an engineer have been mobilised from Ipswich.
The line towards Ipswich is blocked and disruption is expected until at least 10am.
The 7.40am from Norwich to Liverpool Street has terminated at Diss, the 8.10am from Stowmarket to Liverpool Street has been cancelled and the 10am from Liverpool Street to Norwich has also been cancelled.
Representatives for Greater Anglia and Network Rail have apologised for the disruption.
