A 60-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning charged with three driving offences.

Simon Dunlop, of Gaye Street, Ipswich, was arrested at around midnight on Saturday, May 31 into Sunday, May 31, in the area of Gaye Street and Benezet Street after police on patrol noticed a vehicle that appeared to be missing its front bumper.

Subsequent enquiries revealed collision damage had been caused to property in the vicinity.

Mr Dunlop was initially bailed to allow further enquiries to be carried out and was charged in July with three offences – driving while unfit through drugs, dangerous driving and failing to stop following a collision.

He is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court from 9.20am this morning.
