CLEARED murder suspect Adrian Bradshaw is today rebuilding his life after being acquitted of killing a teenage schoolgirl – and is back at the helm of his business.

It is now two months since a crown court jury found Mr Bradshaw not guilty of the murder of 17-year-old Vicky Hall, from Trimley St Mary.

Friends say he is recovering well from his ordeal – the harrowing 11 months in jail on remand and the court hearing – and is just happy to be free, with his name cleared and getting his life together again.

While he was away his friend Jonathan Trotter ran his free newspaper business in Felixstowe, called The Felixstowe Flyer, for him and advertisers remained loyal.

Now Mr Trotter is continuing to be editor of the monthly glossy publication, and Mr Bradshaw, 27, is back working alongside him, out and about in the town, selling the advertising … the part he enjoys best.

One advertiser said: "It was great to see Adrian again. He was very chirpy when he popped in and seemed very much his old self.

"We didn't talk about the court case or anything. I just said it was good to see him back and asked if he was OK.

"It was just as if he had never been away. We never considered taking our advertising away from him – I don't believe for a moment that he had anything to do with the murder and was just a victim of circumstance. The court threw it out and on the evidence that was the right decision."

The Flyer Group, which has a turnover of around £35,000 a year, also runs exhibitions, trade directories and designs web sites.

Mr Bradshaw returned to Felixstowe shortly after the court case finished and was keen to get back to work as soon as possible, to return his life to normality.

He had been remanded in custody from December 2000 to the end of the case last November, even though there was little evidence against him.

He and his legal team were confident he would be acquitted, and it is understood they are now looking into action for compensation for his time in prison.

Vicky vanished after walking home from a Felixstowe nightclub in September 1999. She parted from best friend Gemma Algar on High Road, just 500 yards from her home in Faulkeners Way.

Minutes later she was abducted and killed, and her naked body was found five days later, 24 miles away in a ditch in Creeting St Peter.

Mr Bradshaw had also been out in Felixstowe that night and after drinking in several bars returned to Trimley by taxi.

The prosecution were able to place him at the spot where Vicky went missing at around the time she vanished. But they were never able to explain how he got his car there, when his home was still half a mile away.

The case hinged on a small number of tiny grains of soil found in his Porsche and which the prosecution said closely matched that from the ditch at Creeting. Other evidence though said the soil was unremarkable and could have come from anywhere.
