A man has been given a curfew and a six month community order after admitting stealing from dozens of cars in Ipswich.
John Alderson, 30, pleaded guilty to two offences of theft from a vehicle, and one offence of interfering with a motor vehicle, at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Alderson, from Ipswich, must remain at his home from 7pm until 7am, with the curfew monitored by an electronic tag. He was also ordered to pay £230 in fines and costs.
A second Ipswich man, 27, was also arrested in connection with the thefts. He has been released on bail until December 21 while police investigations continue.
