A MAN was killed when he was struck by a wheel from a passing lorry - and his father-in-law collapsed and died after hearing the news.

Robert Kerry was waiting for a colleague to pick him up from the roadside when he was hit by the wheel, which had come off a tanker.

The 54-year-old died after the freak accident, which happened on the A27 in Arundel, West Sussex yesterday morning.

Then, when his father-in-law John Cordingly was told of the tragic news, he suffered a heart attack and died.
