Man appears in court after A12 chase

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a police vehicle was damaged in a high-speed chase on the A12.Police were in pursuit of a white Bedford mini van on the northern stretch of the main road through Suffolk.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a police car was damaged in a high-speed chase on the A12.
Police chasing a white Bedford mini-van when the incident happened near the Albeburgh turn-off at about 6pm on Saturday.
Clive Woolnough, 54, of Pedlars Lane, Chillesford, was arrested in connection with the incident.He was due to appear before Lowestoft magistrates today charged with eight offences including drink-driving, dangerous driving and damage to a police vehicle.
