Man appears in court charged with burglary and assault in Felixstowe

A 56-year-old man has been charged in connection with a burglary and assault in Felixstowe at the weekend.

Residents at an address in Mainstone Road discovered a man asleep in their bedroom at around 4.30am on Saturday October 8.

When they woke him he assaulted one of the victims and was found in possession of items of jewellery belonging to the victims.

Thomas Money, of no fixed abode, appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday, Monday October 10, charged with burglary and assault by beating.

He was remanded in custody for a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday November 7.
