A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving today after a cyclist was killed following a collision with a car on the A12.

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving today after a cyclist was killed following a collision with a car on the A12.

The accident took place on the southbound carriageway at around 7am near to Kelvedon in Essex.

A section of the road was closed until noon, causing severe congestion for those heading in and out of Suffolk.

Paramedics were called, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman confirmed a man had been arrested and was being questioned in relation to the accident.
