A FIGHT in an Ipswich street has left a 28-year-old man in hospital where his condition is described as stable.Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the serious assault which took place in South Street, just off Norwich Road.

A 33-YEAR-OLD arrested by detectives after a man was knifed in Ipswich remains in custody today.
The victim of the stabbing which took place in South Street at the rear of the Hare and Hounds pub remains in a stable condition with what are described as serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was first spoken to by police after he turned up at Ipswich Hospital asking for treatment to a hand injury.
However he was not formally arrested until yesterday afternoon.
It is believed detectives investigating the attack will spending today re-interviewing the man before making a decision whether to charge him.
The incident around 5pm on Wednesday. A member of the public called police to the scene when they witnessed the fight break out between the two men.
The 28-year-old victim, who is believed to be Algerian, sustained a deep knife wound to just below the shoulder during the altercation.
One man was said to be "wielding a huge kitchen knife" during the fight which saw the two men fall in to the door of the pub in which about four people were drinking at the time.
