A man has been arrested following a single vehicle crash on the A14 at Nacton which left a vehicle on its roof.

Police were called just after 4.20pm today, Tuesday, February 20, to the scene on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 57 and 58.

One lane of the road was temporarily closed as officers worked at the scene but was later reopened just before 6pm.

There were reports of long tailbacks in the area, stretching as far as the Orwell Bridge.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police confirmed that a man was arrested following the collision.

She said: : “We were called shortly after 4.20pm today to the A14 at Nacton following reports of a vehicle on its roof.

“We do not know whether there are any injuries at this point.

“One person has been detained.”

She added the East of England Ambulance Service has also attended the scene.
