A 32-year-old man who was arrested after crashing his car in Ipswich has been charged with drink-driving.

Police officers on duty stumbled across the single-vehicle collision involving a Peugeot 206 in Birkfield Drive around 11.10pm on Saturday.

Traian Noe, from Ipswich, was detained after failing a road-side breath test for alcohol.

He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and later charged with drink-driving.

Noe is due to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court, in Ipswich, on October 9.
