A 30-year-old Holbrook man has been charged with two burglaries and assaulting a police officer.
Scott Hyam was arrested at 3.15am yesterday in connection with a series of home, shed and garage burglaries in the Holbrook area overnight.
He was questioned by detectives at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre and was later charged with two counts of burglary, common assault and assaulting a police officer in the execution of their duty.
The burglaries relate to a home in Holbrook where an Apple Macbook, iPad, a coat, a wallet containing £140 cash, two sets of vehicle keys and foodstuffs were stolen, the other a shed were two bicycles were taken.
He was due to appear before Ipswich magistrates this morning.
