A 35-year-old man who has been charged with robbery and burglary offences is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates this morning.

Antonio Wells, of no fixed abode, was arrested yesterday in Ipswich and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He has been charged with robbery of a restaurant on Duke Street in Ipswich on Thursday, February 8, where a quantity of cash was stolen.

He has also been charged with burglary of a business on Wentworth Road in Ipswich on the same day where a large amount of power tools were stolen, along with a further burglary on Felixstowe Road in Ipswich, also on February 8, where a power drill was stolen.

He has also been charged with a third burglary on Roebeck Road in Ipswich at some point between February 8 and 9, where fishing equipment and car keys were stolen. He is also charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning.
