AN Ipswich man was today formerly cleared of 14 offences relating to cruelty and indecency.Alan Harvey, 40, of Hadleigh Road, Ipswich had been charged with eight counts of cruelty to a child, three offences of indecent assault on a person under 16 and three charges of inciting a girl to commit gross indecency.

Alan Harvey, 40, of Hadleigh Road, Ipswich had been charged with eight counts of cruelty to a child, three offences of indecent assault on a person under 16 and three charges of inciting a girl to commit gross indecency.
His trial started on July 14 and the jury made a not guilty verdict on July 23 on some of the charges.
Judge John Devaux formerly today cleared Harvey of the remaining offences.
The judge also ordered that Harvey was given £120 expenses to cover his car parking and petrol costs during the trial.
