A 24-year-old Felixstowe man has been cleared of assaulting a fellow lodger but was jailed for a string of other offences.
Mark Bone, of High Road, Felixstowe denied unlawfully wounding Robert Bowen while they were both living in The Walk, Felixstowe, and was found not guilty by a jury at Ipswich Crown Court.
He also denied wounding Mr Bowen with intent to do him grievous bodily harm. The judge ordered a not guilty verdict on this charge.
After the jury's verdict yesterday, the court heard that Bone had been committed for sentence for offences of burglary, dangerous driving, drink-driving and driving without a licence and insurance.
Bone was ordered to serve 120 days of an unexpired earlier sentence, with 18 months to run consecutively. He was banned from driving for three years.
