A man reportedly drove his car onto the pavement to block the path of a woman after she ignored his attempts to start a conversation with her.

At around 10.50am on Thursday the victim was walking alone in Portman Road, Ipswich, when she noticed a car was driving slowly alongside her.

The man driving the car called out to the woman and tried to talk to her, but she ignored him.

He then pulled his car onto the pathway in front of the woman, before eventually driving off.

No-one was injured as a result of the incident, police said.

The vehicle is described as a silver coloured estate type car in a “scruffy” condition which had a distinctive star-shaped orange coloured sticker on the rear.

The driver is described as a white man in his 50s who was wearing a brightly coloured beanie style hat.
