Police chased a suspect through gardens in Trimley St Mary this morning after he ran off when stopped by officers.

According to a police spokeswoman, officers stopped and spoke to a man in Hunters End before he fled.

She said: “It looks like he then went into a garden and was then garden-hopping to get away.”

She said officers at the scene called for assistance at around 12.20pm.
“More police were called to try and apprehend the man,” she added.

However, officers failed to find him and the search was later called off.
