Man freed from car following A14 crash

EMERGENCY services were called to the A14 early today after a man became trapped in a car following a road accident.The single vehicle accident happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 just past the Orwell Bridge.

The accident, which involved only one car, happened on the Felixstowe-bound carriageway of the A14 just past the Orwell Bridge.

Three fire crews were called to the scene just before 12.40am and they had cut the injured man from the Peugeot 306 by 1.15am.

A police spokesman said the man was taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance for treatment to minor injuries.
