A MAN who allowed a fugitive to hide in his loft whilst police were searching for him has appeared in court.
Craig Henderson pleaded guilty at Colchester Magistrates' Court yesterday to obstructing a police officer in the execution of his duty.
Henderson allowed the unnamed man to hide in the loft of his Sible Hedingham home whilst police searched for him on October 31 last year.
The unemployed 32-year-old, who now lives in Bailey Road, Braintree, was fined 150 and ordered to pay 100 costs.
District Judge David Cooper told him: “Always be helpful to police officers whatever your private feelings or loyalties”.
