Man in court on murder charge
A 36-year-old Ipswich man charged with the murder of a man whose body was found on farmland near Framlingham appeared in court today.
A 36-year-old Ipswich man charged with the murder of a man whose body was found on farmland near Framlingham appeared in court today.
The body of Jurijs Baklasovs, a 43-year-old Latvian national staying in Ipswich, was discovered just off the B1120 at New Road, near Brabling Green, on Tuesday.
A post mortem examination revealed Mr Baklasovs died as a result of a serious assault.
Jevgenijs Maksimovs, of Hayhill Road, appeared at South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court this morning charged with murder.
During a short hearing, Maksimovs was remanded in custody.
He will appear at Ipswich Crown Court on March 5 for a plea and case management hearing.
