A MAN is being treated for burns after a gas cylinder exploded in a Norwich Union building.

Norfolk fire crews were alerted to a possible explosion at the building in Surrey Street, Norwich, at around 5.21pm.

On arrival they found a gas cylinder had exploded and a man had suffered burns.

Positive pressure ventilation was used to ventilate the building and crews left the scene by 5.43pm.
