POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured in a hit and run incident in Old Felixstowe.

A 47-year-old man was driving a large vehicle along Cliff Road around 12.40pm to 12.55pm on Thursday when he became aware of a car flashing its lights and hooting its horn behind him.
The man stopped and got out of his vehicle to see what the problem was.
As he did so the driver of the car, described as sleek and silver metallic with a rear spoiler, accelerated towards him and hit, causing him to fall to the ground.
The driver then accelerated away at speed, failing to stop.
The man suffered cuts and bruising to his arm and shoulder.

A police spokeswoman said: “It's thought the incident was witnessed by at least two other drivers who were stationary behind and officers need to trace them and anyone else who may have seen the incident or who may have information about the driver of the silver car.”
