Man plunges to death from bridge

POLICE are today appealing for witnesses after a man died when a Rover car was driven off a Suffolk bridge.

The incident happened at about 12.40am on Saturday on the Bascule Bridge in Lowestoft.

The incident happened at about 12.40am on Saturday on the Bascule Bridge in Lowestoft.

The man found dead in the water was a 50-year-old local man.

He has yet to identified and a post mortem is due to take place early next week.
