Man pulled from fatal bungalow fire in Fuchsia Lane, Ipswich, is in a serious but stable condition - police say

A man who was rescued from a bungalow blaze which claimed the life of another man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Firefighters were called to the property in Fuchsia Lane, Ipswich, at around 1.15am last Wednesday and pulled two men out of the burning home.
A man, aged in his 80s, suffered a cardiac arrest at the scene but his heart was restarted thanks to the efforts of fire and ambulance crews. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital where he died later that morning.
The other resident, aged in his 60s, was also taken Ipswich Hospital but was later transferred to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, which has a specialist burns unit.
A spokeswomen for Suffolk Constabulary said the man was still in a serious condition but was now stable.
An investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire is still ongoing, but the police spokeswoman said it was not thought to suspicious.
