A MAN had to be rescued today after getting stuck in a hole.
Emergency services were called to the rescue operation at Cravens Yard, Hamilton Road in Newmarket at about 12.50pm.
The man was stuck in a hole approximately three metres deep.
Firefighters were called to help release the man and a pump rescue tender and a fire crew from Burwell in Cambridgeshire attended.
The trapped man was rescued using a crane that was found on the site and once released ambulance paramedics conveyed the man to hospital.
