Man rescued from burning flat

A 38-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital today with serious burns after he was discovered in a flat fire in Lowestoft.The incident occurred at 7.20am yesterday at a ground floor flat in Normanston Drive.

A 38-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital today with serious burns after he was discovered in a flat fire in Lowestoft.

The incident occurred at 7.20am yesterday at a ground floor flat in Normanston Drive.

When entry was forced to the flat by firefighters and police, the man was found unconscious with first degree burns to his upper body.

He was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston. Although he was treated in intensive care, police today said he is in a stable condition.
