Police are hunting for three men after a man was stabbed in the chest in Ipswich last night.
Paramedics were called at 7.43pm to Christchurch Street after the 42-year-old victim suffered a stab wound to his abdomen.
The ambulance crew called police after the man reported he had been attacked in the area some time earlier.
The victim was initially taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition, but later transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, as a precaution as he may have sustained a liver injury.
Police are keen to trace three men, one of which was wearing a grey tracksuit, who were seen in the area around the time.
Anyone who was in the area between 6.30-8pm who may have seen any incident should call Ipswich CID on 101, quoting crime number IC/15/4541.
