A man is currently in hospital after being stabbed in Tilbury.
A 47-year-old man was taken to Basildon Hospital suffering from stab wounds after being assaulted last night .
A spokesperson from Essex Constabulary said that his condition was stable.
A 34-year-old man from Tilbury has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder stabbing the man, also from Tilbury, in the back and chest.
The assault occurred outside the Anchor Pub in Civic Square just before 7pm last night.
Police believe both parties had been in the pub prior to the incident outside taking place.
Essex Police are currently appealing for anyone with information about what happened inside the pub as well as the assault and any disturbance which may have occurred outside to contact them as soon as possible.
