A man was threatened at knifepoint as he walked along Whitby Road in Ipswich last night.

The 52-year-old victim was walking along the road at around 9.45pm when he was approached from behind by a man holding a knife.

He told the victim to hand over his wallet and grabbed his jacket arm, causing it to rip.

The offender then ran away, turning left into Brunswick Road.

The offender is described as white, between 5’7” and 5’8” tall, of a thin build and was wearing a dark coloured top.

Nothing was stolen and the victim was not injured.
