A SUICIDAL Ipswich man has been prosecuted, after setting fire to his home in a bid to end his own life.
David Robinson, 24, pleaded guilty of criminal damage by fire at his Kildare Avenue home on March 26.
Ipswich Crown Court heard how Robinson had been
suffering from severe depression and had almost taken his life two weeks earlier.
Shortly before the suicide attempt by fire, his partner had fled from their home with their two children after Robinson began acting irrationally.
Judge Nicholas Beddard
sentenced Robinson to two years community rehabilitation.
