FIRECREWS spent nearly an hour releasing a man trapped under his car after it dropped on top of him.The 55-year-old man was working underneath his car at the time in the public car park at The Pightle, Needham Market, when the accident happened at around 5pm.
FIRECREWS spent nearly an hour releasing a man trapped under his car after it dropped on top of him.
The 55-year-old man was working underneath his car at the time in the public car park at The Pightle, Needham Market, when the accident happened at around 5pm.
Paramedics said the victim was conscious throughout his ordeal, which ended at 5.50pm when the firecrews from Needham Market and Stowmarket freed him. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.
A pump rescue ladder from Princes Street, Ipswich, also attended the scene. The air ambulance was alerted but soon stood down.
No details of the man's condition were known but it is believed that his injuries were not serious.
