Man with head injury found in Gippeswyk Avenue, Ipswich

Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were called to Gippeswyk Avenue at around 8pm today to reports a man had sustained a head injury in a residential street.
Officers arrived to find members of the public helping a man who is believed to have suffered a medical episode before hitting his head on the kerb.
One fire crew from Ipswich East attended, but had left the scene by around 8.25pm.
The patient was left in the care of paramedics, who treated him at the scene.
A police spokesman said the man’s injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.
