A SPECIAL Yuletide market is to be held in Gosbeck Village Hall.

The November 17 event, which is in aid of St Mary's Church, Gosbeck, includes gift stalls, crafts, cakes - and a Dolls House Exhibition.

The exhibition is one of the most eagerly awaited parts of the market, and promises a collection of beautifully handcrafted pieces.

Pam Turnbull is organising the exhibition, and said the idea came about several years ago.

She said: "We have always held a Yuletide market, but three years ago we held also held a patchwork quilt festival at the same time, which was well received.

"This spurred us on to once again try something new again, and this exhibition is the result. Dolls house making is a very fast growing hobby, and very popular"

Enthusiasts young and old alike, will be displaying their houses, with some of exhibits dating back as far as the 1920s.

Mrs Turnbull, from Coddenham will be displaying her own recently restored childhood dolls houses on the day.

The event gets under way at 11am, and admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children.

"I'd like to urge everyone to come along and support the event, in raising some funds for our local church" Mrs Turnbull added.
